The nightmare of running multiple software applications
I thought this week I would post a topic on how nice it is to have just a single point of data entry for all of our business needs. To illustrate the nightmares of the “old” days, I can recount how Blue Tent used no less than three separate applications to run our business. Of course these three applications did not include the five to ten “off ledger” spreadsheets that each department used to take QuickBooks data, overlay their employee time tracking data and then make sense of their capacity and effectiveness measurements. I can’t even calculate the amount of time and energy our department heads had to spend every month calculating these essential management metrics. As Blue Tent gets ready to launch the Netsuite projects module on May 1st, I am soooo ready to say goodbye to the nightmares of multiple points of entry just to run our web marketing business
