This week I am feeling very bullish on our Netsuite software package. Our COO Jay Scherrer is going the extra distance to really fold the software application to our specific needs. It occurred to me that we really have made so much progress with the accounting system, the project tasks and the CRM tools that we can almost raise the “Mission Accomplished” banner! I am feeling good because as we peel back each layer of the Netsuite tool set we find that we are able to get almost everything “we” need. Let me explain. Netsuite is a HUGE system…..It is very big and very flexible….this can be both good and bad. Good in the sense that you very rarely hear “we can’t do that” or “it does not do that”.  You may hear that you need to customize the software or use some of their scripting tools to get the Netsuite to be YOUR specific application. By the way if you need help with any scripting, let us know we would be happy to help! Our team found from experience that if you don’t plan your deployment the bad part of the system is you can go down many many roads and not get what you are looking for. This is why I HIGHLY recommend you take advantage of the Netsuite professional services team. It may seem a bit spendy at first, but after you see your business running on all cylinders, you will see that the investment will make sense right away.
