NetSuite - Productivity, Scalability, Flexibility for a Small Business
Our company, Circle of Friends, is a small personal care products company that develops and sells children's bath products. We switched to NetSuite 4 years ago, and are re-upping our contract right now.
We moved to NetSuite because it allowed us to bring together many different parts and functions in a way that is cost-effective, reliable, and easy to manage:
- I don't need an IT guy to fix inevitable server or database issues
- I don't need a web programmer to add an item to my e-commerce site or to program an email campaign
- I don't need to spend time managing and updating multiple databases covering sales, invoicing, inventory, and shipping
- I don't need extra staff to manage payroll, commissions, or sales tax liabilities.
Over the past four years, we found that NetSuite opened our eyes to opportunities to think about our business in new ways:
- Customized dashboards enable each person to focus on their most valuable possible contributions to the company
- my employees can work from anywhere and have 100% of the company tools at their disposal
- we were able to easily outsource much of our lowend backoffice functions to Mumbai, India
- we were able to think creatively about setting up commission-only sales partners
We are staying with NetSuite because it allows us to remain lean and flexible in these challenging times:
- I can set up drop-ship vendors easily which is easier on my cash flow
- NetSuite management reporting gives me real-time visibility into trends and allows me to analyze what is working in my business and what is of concern
- we continue to find more ways to increase productivity using NetSuite, and to leverage increasing #s of NetSuite's capabilities
- we are thinking about how to use NetSuite to further leverage partners and virtual sales people
In short, NetSuite is a key asset that will help us get through this economic downcycle.
