This week I thought it would be a good idea to write about the accounting software aspects of the Netsuite platform. The idea that a small to midsized can have access to the types of financial reports that are usually the domain of large cap fortune 500 companies at a fraction of the cost of SAP is just crazy! A few reports that we are working on:
-    Exact amount of our recurring revenue
-    This month vs. last rolling quarter of web hosting revenue
-    This month vs. last rolling quarter of hosting expense
The ability for the accounting software to deliver these reports in real time and to be set up by our operation manager is truly the bow on the box for our business insight software. I remember the nightmare of not knowing what our monthly revenue numbers would be until it was too late to do anything about fixed business costs. Now with our optimized Netsuite operation software, we get the ability to see problems while we still have the ability to make changes to our costs. When I think back to the “old” days it was a few weeks for our CPA to close the books, create the reports and then send us the analysis for us to see the results of the prior month. Now we get our information and data in all most real time….outstanding optimization!
