Blue tent is now officially one year into our production teams using NetSuite as a full-time project management tool.  I thought it would be pretty neat to share with the nation how we have customized the dashboard of our departmental directors.  Our company is comprised of five main departments.  We include things like search engine optimization and email marketing in different departments.  As business continues to grow, and we look for ways to give our managers real-time in up to date information making NetSuite dashboards even more essential.  Let's use our search engine optimization department as an example.  The director of search marketing needs to know things like total capacity for her department, revenue to date for her department to and total cost to date for her department.  Lindsay now has access to all of this information on her dashboard every time she logs in the NetSuite.  For those of you in the nation who understand the importance of real-time management of resources and people you can appreciate how this will affect our bottom line.  I remember the nightmares of the old days when we did not know departmental capacity and costs until the end of the month.  This made it very difficult to make adjustments in the middle of the month when we could influence change.  I will continue to talk more about dashboard optimization and the resulting effect on our company's bottom line.
