Netsuite allows us to compete with large players in a competitive marketplace

We launched www.evVive.com which focuses on appliance sales during Fall of 2008 working as a team of three. We chose Netsuite since we wanted to provide superior customer service on a complicated supply chain proces.

It took us about two months to launch the e-commerce website loaded with 2000 products along with back-end processes (order taking/approvals, returns handling, customer service ticketing/escalations, financials, shipping, inventory management, drop-ship management etc.). While we customized the website (especially marketing automation) on Netsuite platform, we relied on native processes at the backend level. This allowed us to focus on our business (sales, marketing, merchandising, fulfillment) when we don't need to worry about information flow.

Since our launch we added 4000 more products to our catalog, integrated with marketing partners such as Amazon.com and launched multiple microsites.  Our order volumes are growing (knock on wood) when we don't need to increase our headcount.  At the same time, when we add new personnel we find out that we need to spend quality time with them on job training.  Netsuite is heavily integrated and mistakes on one end of the process chain shows up immediately on the income statement.  Therefore, one needs to spend time on user permissions and explain new comers the consequences of their actions.

So much for Netsuite implementation at www.evVive.com ... My next post will be on my experience in selecting and running Netsuite on a $150 million pure play e-commerce operation.
