As 2010 comes to a close, Blue Tent, like many other businesses are wrapping up the year and their financial reporting.  The last quarter of 2010 and Blue Tent's use of Netsuite has been centered around the use of saved searches.  This function has proved so valuable for us as the ability for our business to make real time decisions based on either financial or project based milestones is a must. I remember the nightmares of days past when we would have project managers working on projects way past budgets. Our new saved search notification sends an email to our production team telling them what projects have less than 10 hours of budget remaining. This gives the team the real time ability to make decisions on client communication, new budget requests or write downs on budget.  I'd be very interested to know how others in the Netsuite nation are using saved searches to manage projects and make decisions.
