Dealing with IT upgrades....what fun...not really

I thought I'd post an update about happiness.. now this is easy because now that Blue Tent is running Netsuite my seemingly never ending upgrade schedule is over!

When you make the move to software as a service, you get rid of many annoying and costly hardware and software upgrade needs. Last year we were in the middle of a huge project for one of our biggest clients and the project management  software we were using needed to have an upgrade....ouch! They sent us a CD and my IT manager had to take two full days to make the upgrade and then....actually make it work. The longer we use Netsuite the more and more I appreciate how we DON’T have to cut staff time to make internal software upgrades and that allows us to focus on billable time!
