CRM functions and why you need to have accounting talk to sales
This summer will prove to be either a big move for small/ midsized business or it may go down as the Titanic. It's up to each of us as leaders to make sure that nightmare does not happen to our business. One of the things we are doing at Blue Tent is an in-depth customer segmentation process. In the first 4 months of the year we saw many small to mid sized businesses really starting to spend more and focus more on growth. As of the last 45 days, we have seen things cool down a bit. I'm no expert, so not sure if it's the Greece deal, Europe in general, the knuckleheads at BP or what, it's just been slow. This is the time to really look at your accounting software and see what nuggets of information you can glean from your customer base. We currently work with about 450 business across the world. So we have started a business intelligence project to dissect the different segments of our business. Once again, our business software Netsuite is coming in handy! We are able to run reports on customer spend by business line and by time of year. This is very helpful because we have many customers and prospects that have seasonal business. Check back here next week and Ill let you know how our outreach project is going. Have a great weekend.
