Another Great Idea
I'd like to take the opportunity to thank NetSuite for their contribution to the software industry. I have intimate experience with SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Peoplesoft and Great Plains. In most cases, these applications have been costly to buy, deploy and maintain, making it diifficult to obtain an ROI. Here is a summary of my NetSuite experience. I would enjoy hearing if yours is the same, and if not, I'd be happy to share ideas on how it could be. First, NetSuite pioneers business applications in a "software-as-a-service" business model, making a cash-flow friendly customer buying experience. NetSuite's value proposition - to deliver efficient, effective and easy-to-use applications that optimize business processes on a scalable and robust technology infrastructure, managed by NetSuite. They listen to their customers' business requirements, investing in critical capabilies, such as multi-currency, multi-company functionality, leveraging their technology to do it better than their traditional ERP competitors. Next, NetSuite gives access to actionable data. Whether it's providing your reps with customer information to cross-sell/upsell or the executive team with sales performance information across geos and/or products, NetSuite provides accurate reports, saved searches, key performamce indicators and KPI Scorecards. They take a radically different approach to customer suppoert - for example, it saves time talking with a NS support rep with CPA credentials when you have revenue recognition questions. NetSuite's latest great idea - to bring their customers together in a forum to share stories and ideas to make our businesses more productive.
